Founded in 2002 by Gail Taylor, Tomorrow Makers is a fusion of her understanding of learning and teaching. Her immersion in collaboration, co-creation and design goes back more than five decades, beginning with co-founding of The Learning Exchange in 1972 and continuing through her twenty plus years with MG Taylor Corporation before returning to her nonprofit roots with Tomorrow Makers.
Over the course of twenty years, Gail lived and worked Tomorrow Makers into being. Based out of her home in Gualala, California, she built local and regional relationships extending from the San Francisco Bay Area to Mendocino.
In the aftermath of Gail’s passing, I decided to keep Tomorrow Makers operational, but quiet. I wanted to keep options open but was not ready to really step into Tomorrow Makers’ possibility space and commit to recreating it in a good way. I went into a stewardship mode with Tomorrow Makers and within a few months found myself taking on a substantial leadership role with a small practice that I have worked with in various capacities for well over a decade.
